From siloed batch processing to always-on commerce

PKZ operated as a traditional retail chain: daily retail data was processed in overnight batches, and the website served mainly to showcase the brand. Shifting customer behaviour and rising digital expectations required a unified, 24/7 commerce model: customers wanted to purchase, collect, and return orders anywhere, and use loyalty points seamlessly online and in-store. However, legacy systems and manual data flows threatened to slow progress and risk disruption to ongoing business.
