In IT, integration means connecting applications, services or end devices with the aim of synchronising data, streamlining processes and increasing their efficiency. While there are specialised solutions for specific integration scenarios (data integration, application integration, etc.), integration platforms, known as "Integration Platform as a Service" (iPaaS), have emerged as a new, very powerful and cloud-based approach to solving a wide range of integration problems across cloud and on-premises systems.
